Mission:
The Walker High School Athletic Department is committed to helping student-athletes formulate, develop and achieve goals. Athletics is an extension of the classroom in this district and we believe our coaches are mentors for every student-athlete. We want to do this by educating the whole person through development of intellectual, social and leadership qualities in each student. Our primary goal is providing support to our student-athletes with opportunities that will lead to their academic success and personal development as well as fostering self-fulfillment through athletics.
Our coaches love what they do and invest countless hours into their programs. It is our goal to be a vital part of the entire Walker High School staff and Jasper City Schools District. We realize that the experiences they have on this campus are brief and we as coaches, teachers, parents, officials, alumni and fans play important roles in the Walker family. We welcome you to partner with us in the high goals we set forth in our program. Our student-athletes, male and female, are gaining life experiences every day and we strive to make them positive.
